Transucatas, S.A. began working in scrap iron in Arranhó in 1991, and in 1997 it opened new facilities in Seixal. Its activity began to expand in these new facilities and extended into other areas, such as integrated waste management. Transucatas, S.A. operates in the area of global waste management, carrying out sorting, treatment, and recycling through its reuse and recycling, finding a destination for a set of wastes that, up to now, registered a low percentage of transfer to recycling, thereby contributing to the reduction in the disposal in landfills.
Since 2003, Transucatas, S.A. has been a collection point accredited by the managing entity of used tyres – Valorpneu, receiving all types of used tyres.
In October 2005, Transucatas, S.A. became a Valorcar Network centre for the reception and dismantling of end-of-life vehicles.
